New Member Things To Do
Welcome to the group. You should do as much of the following as you
can. If you have questions about doing any of these things that are
administrative, please see Loring Holden.
Any questions regarding technical setups, please forward your questions to Mark Dieterich.
- Put home and work phone numbers in finger (see jgm's plan information on how to keep this
information internal to the department)
- Make sure you have a home page on the department web. For questions
about this, talk to John Basik
- Generally browse all of the audio/video documentation on the web
- Get your initial accounts working correctly on all graphics group
architectures. the easiest way to do this is to use the graphics group
startups by running the following and
(and follow the directions at /pro/graphics/startups/README -
local access only):
/pro/graphics/startups/overwrite
- Apply for key to the elevator
- Get mail folder in mail room, talk to main department receptionist
for this.
